Bleu Purple Willow (Salix purpurea ‘Bleu’) (Young red and green stems turn reddish purple when mature. Mature foliage is dark bluish-green with the underside of the leaves a soft blue-grey. Catkins are a beautiful black. A wonderful basketry variety. They turn a light bluegrey/green when dried.
Lambertiana Willow (Salix purpurea ‘Lambertiana’) (Is one of Britain’s best Ornamental willows and is also excellent for basket-making.)
